We got a makeover

BKM is back in the house!

Literally. As you all know, Southern California is ablaze. We had nine fires in San Diego alone. We did evacuate on Monday, but are now safely back home. Fortunately, our neighborhoods remained untouched, thanks to the quick responses of our firefighters and military. We are deeply sorry for those who lost their homes.

When we had to evacuate, we decided on what things to bring. We packed our computers, work files, hard drives, and back up hard drives first. Then our own wedding pictures and DVD, and finally our clothes.

It just reminds us, again, of how important photos can be. Everything else–the furniture, the TV, jewelry, it’s all replaceable. Memories are not.

So thank you to all who emailed and texted to see if we are alright.  Thankfully we are.
